Mortgage Specialist, Access Desk, GTA

Position Overview:
The primary role of the Mortgage Specialist is to achieve funded mortgage volume targets, by region, vendor and lenders, with high production efficiency ratios.
Job Details:
- Receive mortgage applications from strategic partners and from our sales force via D+H Expert and D+H Exchange.
- Analyze the deals for credit worthiness and completeness in order to submit, decline or re-structure based on various internal and lender guidelines, ensuring at all times that strong relationships are maintained between all parties.
- Liaison between vendors and strategic partners, including lenders and mortgage brokers.
- Foster and develop positive relationships with brokers, sales team and senior management.
- Participate at company/industry events as representative of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of the residential mortgage business.
- Valid Mortgage Agent License.
- 5+ years with previous mortgage underwriting/sales experience.
- Knowledge of D&H Expert mortgage origination program.
- Knowledge of insurer and lender guidelines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and relationship skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products.
